Location #9

This old cabin style auto park, now apartments, is located at 205 Barnett St., near the intersection of El Camino Real. This old motel dates back to the 1930's, and has changed names many times during it's history. Orignally known as Stovall's 101 Auto Court, it changed names to Buckland's 101 Auto Court in 1950, and became the One-O-One Auto Court in 1955. According to the manager, Christine Barris, it may also have been called Motel 101 at one time. Unfortunately, it's currently slated for demolition in the very near future.

View looking west from El Camino Real.

Each unit had an attached garage. Something only seen in the oldest motels and auto parks.

Units in the back of the property.

This was probably the office location. Its on the north side.

Another view of the north side units.

This is all that is left of the original sign which was on the other side of El Camino Real in front of the north entrance.

This is the northwest side of where the excavation was done for the freeway. These are some fragments of the old cement highway on the northeast side of El Camino Real.

A closer view showing some use of rebar here.
