Location #12

The old Buellton Motel at 435 Avenue of the Flags. It is now called the Red Rose Court and has probably the longest and best documented history of any of the motels in Buellton dating back to the 1920's. It was originally known as the Buellton Auto Court, then the Buellton Motel later. It had a nice enclosed swimming pool, that was very popular with both guests and the local people. The original Auto Court even had a small 3-pump gas station out front which you see in the vintage images.

The north end of the property.
They actually have this display right in front of the old motel today.

Surrounded by Red Roses of course.

From the late 50's. Part of the pool wall is still there today.

This is where the pool used to be.
